Founded in 1990 by former New York fashion designer Wendy Lane Henry, Back at the Ranch blends fashion-led design with Western bootmaking tradition. The women-owned company is now led by her granddaughter, Jackie Hopper Daru, continuing a multigenerational family legacy. Its boots are produced in limited quantities at the brand’s El Paso factory, supporting close quality control and detailed bench-made construction.

Share your boots with the world! We're building an online museum celebrating the history and craftsmanship of boots. Submit your boots and their stories to be featured in our collection. We will feature truly unique boots - often custom made specifically for one person or very limited runs by a bootmaker. We also want to see vintage boots that are hard to find and well-used boots of any kind that tell a story. We are assembling a collection and hope to post a new section here very soon.
